Employee gets Terminated for Allegedly Farting Too Much at Work


Richard Clem is in a stinky situation that has lead to a lawsuit.

TRENTON, NEW JERSEY - A 70 year-old man was terminated from his position at Case Pork Roll Company, Richard Clem believes it was due to his flatulence and has filed a lawsuit against his former employer.

Richard Clem started working at Case Pork Roll in 2004 as a comptroller. At the time of his hire, Clem weighed around 400 pounds. However, after a gastric bypass surgery in October 2010, to get rid of his own porky belly. Unfortunately, gastric bypasses have many side effects, including excessive gas, due to diarrhea.


Richard Clem and his wife are seeking damages from Case Pork Roll that include pain and suffering, compensatory damages and punitive damages. He also wants employees of his former company to attend training programs to prevent further incidents that are similar, from reoccurring.

"I'm speaking up for people who are overweight," he said. "Does being obeses mean you can't do a good job? Of course not! -EE
