Obama Considering Executive Action On Gun Control

Along with any of the recent gun-related tragedies across the U.S., comes the argument to further gun control policies in this country.

President Barack Obama is looking toward using executive action to widen his ability to enact stronger gun control laws, something he has failed to do over the years. I truly can't believe he is trying to benefit from the recent nationally televised tragedies by trying to make new policies against law-abiding citizens who wish to protect themselves and their families.

Clearly, President Obama is trying to make gun control part of his legacy, however, he only refers to shootings in suburban neighborhoods and schools. This probably says that he is more interested in the political gain as opposed to his own personal concern.

Gun Control laws will only take guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens, AKA the people who follow our current and any new laws enacted.

Criminals will continue to purchase guns and use them illegally, as they have always done. Many states like New York has strong, no-nonsense minimum jail sentences related to gun crime, sentences that would normally stifle law-abiding from ever picking up a gun. But on the other hand you still have legions of morons who could care less and commit crimes involving guns no matter what the laws are. Either way, new laws aren't for the betterment of society.

Another senseless lawn mower victim....STOP THE MADNESS PEOPLE!!

So let me ask the President this question. In 2013 there were 5 times as many people stabbed by knives or cutting instruments of all kinds then there were people shot by rifles. So should we expect new knife control laws? 3700 hundred people died from unintentional drownings last year, does this mean will see changes in pool control and/or water control? 75 people were killed by lawnmowers last year, should we be throwing these mowers in jail for life? Of course not, because that would be just plain stupid.

With these things in mind, how many people do you think were killed by guns, knives lawn mowers etc.?

Zero! Because as it has been said so many times before, it is people who kill people. Without a person, a trigger can't be pulled, a knife can't be used and a bunch of bars of soap wrapped in a strong plastic bag can't be swung unless a "person" does it. -EE

  1. I hear ya Mr. Nutz

  2. Stiffen penalties that makes no sense. The people doing mass shootings 90% of the times kill themselves. So how life in prison is gona help someone that already knows he is gona kill himself after he kills as many as he can. The problem is mental health and guns in those hands
