University of California at Berkeley Students Start Fires and Incite Violence in Protest Over Ignorance

UC-Berkeley student adding another shrimp to the barbie, is that why he/she was accepted to the school over so many rejects?

This past Wednesday night, Milo Yiannopoulos, outspoken British journalist, author, public speaker etc. cancelled a planned event at the University of California-Berkeley amidst public outrage over his political views, most notably his support of Donald Trump.

But that is not the story here.

The story here is that hundreds of Berkeley student were involved in an act of terrorism as they started fires on public property in the name of protest.

You see, University of Berkeley students, and many other colleges for that matter, believe it is in their best interest (and/or their right) to protest for any number of political, social or athletic-related reasons (in 2010, University of Tennessee students started a massive riot because head football coach Lane Kiffin left the University to coach the University of Southern California, thousands of dollars in property damage and numerous injuries were reported yet no one was charged with arson or with an act of terrorism).

College students DO NOT have the right to break the law or be overlooked when breaking the law, simply because they are "in college."

"No on article 13!! and pass the beer bong while yer at it!!!"

Arson is an act of terrorism. Period. It's not symbolic or something other than a criminal act just because the people committing the unlawful practices are at a place of higher education. That, literally makes no sense!

Now I'm not saying that the government should pull funding or scholarships for schools, or start implicating Gestapo tactics on college campuses because of the actions of less than .001% of students....but, where is the thorough investigation after violent acts of protest? Where are the F.B.I. and other federal law enforcing agencies in these situations?

The students directly involved NEED to lose their scholarships, get kicked out of school, and become lifelong felons or at the very least NEED to be held accountable for their actions just like anyone else who commits violent acts.

Two of the most respected and successful protesters, Martin Luther King Jr., and Ghandi NEVER used violence to forward their beliefs, why? Because it doesn't make sense.

Fighting nonsense with nonsense is.......NONSENSE!! Taking the high road is a true trait of a genuine intellectual.

Protest all you want, just don't destroy shit in the process, show your high level of intelligence by creating new and productive methods of advocacy for your cause, after all, you are the future!!! -EE
